Patriots, If you thought Donald Trump's war on the climate and our environment couldn't get any worse, think again. Trump recently nominated coal industry lobbyist Andrew Wheeler to fill the number two spot at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), doubling down on his anti-climate agenda and his dangerous campaign promise to prop up the failing dirty coal industry. If confirmed by the Senate, Wheeler would be responsible for regulating the very industry he lobbied for. We must urge the Senate to block and resist this dangerous climate change denier’s nomination before it comes up for a vote in the next few weeks. SIGN THE PETITION For nearly a decade, Wheeler lobbied for the coal industry and other polluters, and since 2009, he has been a registered lobbyist for Murray Energy, the largest coal mining conglomerate in the country. Murray Energy's CEO, Robert Murray, who famously tried to sue HBO's John Oliver over an accurate exposé about the coal industry, is an outspoken climate change denier who regularly peddles in blatant lies, believes the Earth is cooling, and recently falsely claimed 4,000 scientists told him that "mankind is not affecting climate change.”1 During the time Murray Energy was Wheeler's client, the coal giant regularly sued the EPA to prevent stricter regulations on ozone and carbon emissions and other pollutants, including leading a lawsuit with a number of Republican-led states against the Obama administration's Clean Power Plan, of which Trump and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt recently moved to reverse.2 Wheeler, who believes the Earth may be going through a "cooling phase," also previously served as a close adviser to notorious anti-science climate change denier Sen. James Inhofe, who once brought a snowball to the Senate floor in a pathetic attempt to disprove climate change.3 Time and time again, Trump is attempting to put the fox in charge of watching the hen house and packing the EPA with anti-climate zealots to line the pockets of his friends in the fossil fuel industry. The Senate will be holding a confirmation hearing for Wheeler's nomination soon, so we must act now to demand they stop this climate-denying coal lobbyist from ever setting foot inside the EPA. Stephen Paddock Las Vegas Shooter

From all accounts, 64 year old Stephen Paddock was not a nut case. He was not a right winger or a religious nut bag. He had not criminal record. He had recently purchased a wheel chair for his 91 year old mother so he wasn't some cold heartless bastard. Like most homicidal maniacs Paddock had no religious or political motives.  He had no criminal record. He was a licenced pilot and a successful real estate developer. What changed? Why won't the media discuss this?

There is a common thread in nearly all non religious and political mass shootings than that is mental aberrations caused by psychiatric medications. The question remains; like nearly every other mass shooter was Paddock on prescription on psychiatric drugs?



My Theory:

My guess is that recently, he was placed on some type of psychiatric medication. It was mentioned that he had a gambling habit so perhaps he was given so psychiatric poison for OCD.

A former college administrator, a former Christian bookstore owner and a former policeman admitted to sexual misconduct with a teenage boy. They were among five Republican men arrested in March as part of an ongoing investigation of men who meet boys through Internet chat rooms, authorities said.William Gillin, 53, republican and Paul Skiles, 63, republican, both of Johnstown, pleaded guilty yesterday to corruption of minors, indecent assault and unlawful communications with minors. Mr. Gillin is the former alumni relations director at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Mr. Skiles owned the now-closed B&K Christian Bookstore in Richland Township.Some of the incidents occurred when the boy was 16, prosecutors said. He is now 17

EBENSBURG, Pa. -- A former college administrator and a former Christian bookstore owner were each sentenced to one to two years in jail for sexually abusing a teenage boy.

A judge yesterday also sentenced William Gillin, 54, of Johnstown, and Paul Skiles, 63, of Geistown, to five years' probation and ordered them to each pay $11,200 in fines and fees.

Mr. Skiles owned the now-closed B&K Christian Bookstore in Richland Township, Cambria County. Gillin is the former alumni relations director at the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown.

Both men pleaded guilty in August to corruption of minors, indecent assault and unlawful communications with minors.

The defense said the acts were consensual, but Cambria County Judge Gerard Long said the boy was not a consenting adult.

Mr. Skiles and Mr. Gillin are not considered sexually violent predators, but are sexual offenders under the state's Megan's Law and must register with state police for 10 years after they leave jail, Judge Long said.

Both defendants said they regretted what they did.

An administrator at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, a part-time campus officer and three other men were arrested Tuesday on charges of having sex with a teenage boy.

• William Gillin, 53, of the 100 block of Hostetler Road, Richland Township, manager of UPJ alumni relations. He is charged with two counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corrupting the morals of a minor and unlawful contact with a minor.

• Jeffrey A. Haire, 40, of the 800 block of Leisure Avenue, Stonycreek Township, a part-time UPJ officer and a full-time security guard at Johnstown Memorial Medical Center. Haire faces two counts of corrupting the morals of a minor.

Spokesmen for UPJ and Memorial Medical Center said that Gillin and Haire have been suspended from their jobs, pending the outcome of the charges.

• David Walylko, 42, of the 100 block of Pebbley Street, Johnstown, faces two counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corrupting the morals of a minor and unlawful contact with a minor.

• Paul Edwin Skiles, 63, of the 300 block of Suie Street, Richland Township, faces two counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corrupting the morals of a minor and unlawful contact with a minor.

• William Benjamin Leckey, 39, of Harding Street, Southmont, faces three counts of corrupting the morals of a minor, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor and one count of aggravated indecent assault.

Cassandra Merlin’s 8-year-old son had to be flown to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after a group of teens decided to hang him from a tree with a rope.

She described the incident on Facebook, writing

“So my son is being flown to Dartmouth after a 14 year old kid decided to hang him from a tree. I don’t care if this was a so called accident or not. My son almost died because of some little sh** teenage kids.” (sic)

Not only did Cassandra almost lose her son in a racially motivated attack, but now the police department is refusing to release information about those responsible.

NH1.com said that Claremont Police Chief Mark Chase refused to comment on the case, but said the department is investigating the incident, which took place on Aug. 28. He said that because the perpetrators are juveniles, he is prevented from discussing the case publicly.

He said that unlike the adult judicial system, which is aimed at punishment, the juvenile justice system is designed to correct and rehabilitate aberrant behavior.

“These people need to be protected,” Chase said. “Mistakes they make as a young child should not have to follow them for the rest of their life.”

“Notice how he called these predators ‘young children,’” wrote Helm, “infantilizing the white teens. Conversely, teens like Trayvon Martin are made out to be hulking, menacing adults. Chief Chase seems to be centering the perpetrators feelings and futures, all but forgetting about the trauma of a little boy who had his so-called friends hang him from a tree to the point where he had to be medevaced to a hospital.”

According to the victim’s grandmother Lorrie Slattery, he was playing with a group of children and teens when they began to taunt him with racist epithets and throw sticks and rocks at him.

Someone stood on a picnic table and the group wrapped a rope from a nearby tire swing around the boy’s throat, then kicked him off the table.
